Portsmouth - St. Malo Ferries
This sailing leaves daily and is almost eleven hours long. As this is the only operator from Portsmouth to St Malo, there is no high speed sailing or movement in price. However there is a sailing from Poole to Cherbourg (above St. Malo) if you don't fancy staying on a boat that long.
Is the Portsmouth to St. Malo timetable and the Poole to Cherbourg alternative:
St Malo was founded in the 6th century by a French monk Mac Low, and it is called the City of Corsairs, because the corsairs targeted the English ships in the channel in the 18th and 19th century's. This is historical city with cobble streets and tiny shops, provided the perfect setting to explain the exciting past and history the city has to tell.
Check out the list of other great Cross channel destinations you can choose from including Dover Calais and more! Activities within the city include historical visits, as well as theme parks, zoos, gardens and Aquariums. Keep busy during the day and night, when the sun goes down why not try one of the many areas of entertainment St Malo has to offer, taste their fine restaurants and enjoy their clubs, pubs and out door entertainment. If you decide to take you car with you why not drive to the vineyards in Brittany, or visit the most popular sites of the world – the Eiffel tower, or Disneyland or any of the amazing sites France has to offer.
