Getting there by ferry is easily done, lucky you!  Newcastle port has 4 destinations on offer in Norway and also travels to Gothenburg and AmsterdamHull port provides routes to Rotterdam in Holland and Zeebrugee in Belgium.  Harwich port has a route to Denmark and the Hook of Holland whilst Rosyth and Aberdeen in Scotland also go to Belgium and Norway!
